If you haven’t been able to see it yet or can’t get Triangle/Stratos, here’s a link to recent episodes of Bomber Bradbury’s War on News.
It’s entertaining, accurate and educational all at once. Kind of like PBS only a bit more ‘informal’. It’s also pretty funny in parts and Bomber comes across as genuine and engaging despite the hail of smart-arse sarcasm.
I do get the feeling that Bomber may be channeling the magnificent Rolf Harris, which could explain the talent.
Well worth a look.
The current rise of populism challenges the way we think about people’s relationship to the economy. We seem to be entering an era of populism, in which leadership in a democracy is based on preferences of the population which do not seem entirely rational nor serving their longer interests. ...

The site will be off line for some hours.
Is it supposed to be current affairs or just politics? Bomber seemed to cover the main political points but there’s a heap of other current affairs in the news just begging for this sort of treatment, the Fashion Week being a prime example. The delivery seems a little manic and those editing flashes were annoying, interrupting continuity, I thought. Jon Stewart he ain’t . . . but, hey, easy for me to sit here and criticise.
There were some really funny lines, plenty of content, no pretense at being anything other than what it is, well worth watching and, bugger me, Bomber even put on a tie! Thanks for the heads up, I’ll be a regular viewer.
I wouldn’t normally watch Bomber Bradbury, but this is actually fairly decent. So over the top it works. Let’s see if he keeps it up.
Yep I agree with all those comments.
It seems to be evolving at quite a rate so who knows where it’ll end up, but if he keeps going how he is, I think it will become an excellent addition to the political conversation – and injecting some much needed intelligent political satire.
Yeah I also agree with all the above, although I only listened to it as I was doing the dishes. I think you can still get most of the value of it without seeing his beautiful face.
Well done Bomber, keep it up.
Good stuff. He should be doing more of it. Always used to enjoy his Sunday Evening Talk Lounge on Channel Z. Ah those were the days!
