Andre your nerves must be stretched!!
Thanks for the thought.
I've actually come down quite a bit from last night. Biden ahead and looking like keeping that lead in states adding up to 270 helps, as does Pennsylvania looking hopeful and Georgia looking like a definite maybe.
We are watching, hopping from place to place.. real exciting. The orange one is busy stirring his followers..as usual.
I've been pretty relaxed about the whole thing…knowing the huge amount of early voting…and knowing that for Republicans standing in a queue for 7 hrs constitutes a day out…so it would always swing to trump early on…then to biden when that huge amount of early votes was counted…and I can't understand why commentators are over-egging the drama…biden has it in the bag..and as for pundits I think their problem is they believe the (now proven to be)wildly in accurate pollsters…that and a tendency to herd together/groupthink helps to explain their sorry records in foretelling the political future…
Trump supporters are pushing into the vote counting area. They are being told to leave. Aha say the Trumpians. "They have stuff to hide!" But of course Scruteneers have to be officially accredited. And only accredited ones are allowed in the room by Law. (Same in NZ.) The Trumpians are rabble off the street but they will claim cheating by the counters. Headlines tomorrow?
Wild west out-laws.
I have been watching the vote count – intermittently over the past 24 hours and sticking mostly to CNN and Al Jazeera. I strayed onto Fox a while ago and witnessed the mad ranting and raving of a demented Newt Gingrich who was of course blaming the Democrats for every conceivable problem which has been occurring since the polls closed and reckoning that the result will be catastrophic should Joe Biden become the President and should simply be annulled. I coped with about 2 minutes and turned the TV off. Newt Gingrich was the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999 and I recall reading about him back in the day. He was being encouraged to keep ranting by the interviewer which he was just so happy to do – sheesh, what a tosser.
Scifi horror.
COPENHAGEN — Denmark will cull its mink population of up to 17 million after a mutation of the coronavirus found in the animals spread to humans, the prime minister said on Wednesday.
Health authorities found virus strains in humans and in mink which showed decreased sensitivity against antibodies, potentially lowering the efficacy of future vaccines, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said.
[…]
Authorities in Denmark said five cases of the new virus strain had been recorded on mink farms and 12 cases in humans, and that there were between 15 million and 17 million mink in the country.
Outbreaks at mink farms have persisted in the Nordic country, the world’s largest producer of mink furs, despite repeated efforts to cull infected animals since June.
Denmark’s police, army and home guard will be deployed to speed up the culling process, Frederiksen said.

The end of the mink trade hopefully and about time.
The entire farmed fur industry.

I gave it a thought on the method used to cull the mink and the clothing which would need to be worn. It would take just one mink to escape or bite to spread the new mutation. As well the people who already have the mutation they could be spreading it. The disposal of mink would need to be managed properly.
Yes, this brings up pets. Household chickens…… a real worry.
How about vegan dogs..?..are they ok..?
I was over on reddit and people were talking about vegan dogs – apparently dogs are quite often allergic to meat – the recommendation was for crocodile and kangeroo as meats that can be tolerable but, if not, they can go vegan with success.
They are usually pretty happy and people call them 'the girls' fondly.
