We all sort of know that the CofC ran on an anti co-governance platform (NACT/TPM coalition sign UNDRIP and now its NACT/NZF – UNDRIP is now posed alongside TOW rangatiratanga, or an even worse threat TOW Tino rangatiratanga).

While the CofC do not mind iwi providers or urban authority providers (health, charter schools or now housing – iwi have land for building on)*, they are at war with a left wing affiliated TPM.

    • Back in 2005 Brash (Hobson's Choice associate) posed an electoral system without Maori seats to ensure that majoritarian government rule and Maori in supplicant status.
    • *Key then seemed generous when allowing Maori to be providers as a partner in delivery.

At the moment there are two issues

    1. Expectations – as to privacy (census and Ministry of Statistics) and use of data (COVID, Health, MSD and OT).
    2. Political – attempting to separate those associated with TPM from connection to a government funded delivery role. This being the purpose of DB as to there being no Maori electorate seats.

I'm listening to this excellent interview of sex researcher Ray Blanchard by feminist Julie Bindel on AGP (autogynephilia, a kind of transexualism) and paraphilias, and in the section talking about men's fetishes around girls' hair all I can think of is former New Zealand Prime Minister John Key and his thing for ponytails 😬 Totally new light.

When I first heard about autogynophilia at The Standard last year, I read literature that critiqued Blanchard's original paper and also read his original 1985 paper, on which he first introduced the idea of crossdressing fantasies in men as 'paraphilia', sexual perversions.

The wiki on Blanchard's transsexualism typology is a good place to discuss the subsequent analysis and support for/against his opinions. Certainly his 'origin' paper I read was about 30% conjecture, and full of rather poor definition of his research subjects. There is also doubt about whether his trials and the use of what amounted to conversion therapy in the research centre he founded were ethical.

      Look before you leap.

    Rotten to the core.

Supreme Court Justices have received about $4.7 million in gifts over the past two decades — more than $4 million of which was pocketed by Clarence Thomas, newly revealed data show.

    […]

This data arrived the same day the Supreme Court failed, once again, to issue a ruling on former president and convicted felon Donald Trump's presidential immunity argument in his federal election interference case.

Thomas was found to have received 193 gifts — which include meals, lodging and flights — worth $4,042,286 and 126 additional "likely" gifts valued at $1,837,510, the data show.
