Listen to Gary McCormack challenge the repulsive world view of Stephen Franks.
It is worth listening to really understand the mind of a dedicated member of the neoliberal cult.

What a contrast! One warm, expansive and generous spirit and one miserly, narrow-minded cardboard replica of a man.

People were texting Jim Mora saying it was the first time they had yelled at the radio for a long time….and they weren’t yelling at McCormack.

I linked to this on the social investment post but it is so good I’m putting it here for the night shift.

Bling, of double dipper fame and the $700million payout to SCF private investors using taxpayer money, has conceded that the strong relationship built between AUS and NZ over several generations is being eroded under his watch. It’s almost as if the Turnbull government has waited until a very soft leader was passed the ball in NZ before they began this attack on the AUS/NZ relationship.

In typical Bling style, he seems puzzled, unsure, and unable to respond, except to talk in ‘minister of finance’ speak.

He is not a leader. We deserve better than this.

What a cheap shot from someone published in the NZ Herald about the Queen and royalty in general. It attaches to the aspirational, and unsatisfied peasant as well as the greedy middle and upper class, who concentrate on their own individual, desired advantage and consider themselves superior.

The Queen of course does work, she does so at the diplomatic level, she presents the prestige of Britain and is a symbol to everyone there, who are quick to find fault at her smallest failing. She encourages citizens in their good efforts to assist a stable society, and travels and talks to ordinary citizens and is approachable, and is Head of the Country and has succeeded in being an important respected and admired figurehead, compare Trump, and further back other rich aspirationals in the Presidency of the USA.
