Well, that is two days since the local elections.
Only 53 to go before Goff will have to tell us who his mysterious friend in China is.
I wonder what one expects for $150,000? Would a park or a street named after you be sufficient?

Every time the video freezes and lags a little, tiny, part of me hopes an astroid just hit the Earth.

Its a picture of Star Trek crew’s response to the current US presidential race …

        Come on Mickey.
Hillary might be bad, but she’s not that bad.
If, on the other hand. it was their reaction to Trump winning I think they would be far more depressed.
I do like your explanation though.

Anyone who looks at Hillary through rose tinted glasses is in for a rude shock when she leads the west to war against Russia. She is that bad.

Williams and his toady wastes of space like to monitor the so-called costs of democracy.

Expect @lprent may have some thoughts on this description of Labour’s “best ever New Zealand execution” of targeted field campaigning in the Welli mayoral election:

I’m watching a story on Fair Go about EQC and a garage rebuild in Christchurch.
The woman whose garage it is wondered, given the cost, whether it was “incompetency” or “dishonesty.”

To me it sounded like corruption.

      80k for a single garage!!!

      • anonymous 5.1.1

We’re getting a single garage built in the north island and the total cost is heading that way. It’s got a few bells and whistles but not very loud ones. We’re pretty close to $10k down before a clod is turned.

[not sure what’s happened to your user name there. Do you want me to edit this and reinstate your old one? Otherwise can you please pick something other than ‘anonymous’. thanks – weka]

      and your hearing is acute….
par for the course for EQC, dishonest as the day is long and starts at the very top…in fact this is probably one of their better efforts.

Listening to Hooten this morning on RNZ the mayoral outcome is down to colours. All blue in the advertising, and apparently it sure fooled everyone, even the Nat voters.

And here we are with most thinking New Zealanders regarding Trump as the idiot. Hooten must surely be on his spin team. Even NZ.s biggest spin merchant Key thinks Trump is indefensible.

When is RNZ going to get a credible right wing commentator.

@ Kat – I must admit I haven’t bothered to turn the radio on for Nine to Noon since I retired a couple of years ago, unless I’m in the car. Matthew is being a tad disingenuous regarding his obsession with colours around the mayoral campaign. Even though I no longer live in Auckland, I still watch the political scene there with interest – it’s still much more interesting than in the sleepy Waikato country town I’ve relocated to. My first thought about Phil Goff’s initial publicity material was that he simply was using the recognised colours of Auckland (the Blues Super 15 and the Auckland rugby teams spring to mind, as well as blue being the ‘official’ colour of Auckland), which was a smart move. He did campaign as an independent after all. I do agree though that Radio N Z could do with some far more credible commentators, from both houses.

Hooten sings for his supper. Pay him his asking price and he will spin whatever you want.

His presence on RNZ is a sign that they are actively promoting whatever he’s being paid to flog as thats how he makes his living, which I dont begrudge him.

Its yet another example of how national have gamed the system.
