With hours-long queues for dedicated Covid testing centres in Auckland, consider visiting a participating GP instead – select your area at top left:

    • Went through my GP. Allocated time and person conducting the test on time (5 minutes wait). Test back in under 24 hours, I almost feel guilty

    Oh noes!

What a telling juxtaposition. Amid the throes of its Afghanistan retreat, the Biden Administration on Monday announced a giant food-stamp expansion. Democrats are shrinking the U.S. military footprint around the world so they can expand the welfare state at home.

The Department of Agriculture (USDA) is increasing benefits by an average of 27% over pre-pandemic levels under the guise of updating its Thrifty Food Plan. This is the basket of foods that the government uses to determine benefit size, which averaged $130 per person monthly before the pandemic. Benefits are adjusted annually for food inflation.

finally, can't wait for them to leave Germany. They can add the expense of Ramstein Air Force base, and their spy stations to the food parcels for their needy.

As for Afghanistan, there is not a Yankee that gives a flying fuck for the people that they have helped fuck up for the last 40 odd years since the invasion of Russia and the American involvement in creating Osama Bin Laden, the muhadjedin, the warlords and in the end the Taliban.

But yei. The poor get some more processed cheese.

    Funny.

One protester whose sign noncommittally read "Down with this sort of thing" didn’t seem too sure about what he was there for.

Look at the faces. Thick as two shorty planks.

No problems for Navalny having his voice heard from a Russian prison

Pity Assange doesn't have the same privileges

Navalny was even granted a 3 day conjugal visit in a more comfortable unit in his prison

    Compare and contrast

one silver lining from the extension of level 4

if you hastily left Auckland on Tuesday heading north to a batch with your boat in tow

hoping you might be able to use it saturday

you will be able to enjoy a further 4 days locked up in your batch

I think the term to apply here might be, LOL
