I see Todd Muller is on 5 weeks leave caring for his wife who has had a major operation.

I hope he doesn't bother to return to parliament at the end of his leave because Judith Collins and her mates are not worth it. His crime was a minor one, and I doubt there's an MP anywhere who hasn't criticised another MP to a journalist in a private capacity, expecting that journo to keep it private. I would love to know who was the a journalist who dobbed him in.

I hope he changes his mind and does return and say he's standing again so the heat gets put fairly and squarely on Collins.

I hope he does return, and immediatley resign, and stand for NZ first in the by-election.

MP Barbara Kuriger dobbed him in.

I thought a journalist reported his words first after a private conversation without saying who the MP was… then Kruger put the boot in by naming him to Collins. Perhaps I got it wrong.

Btw, never liked that woman. Hard as nails. A bit like her leader.

"The Reserve Bank will publicly consult on the public policy cases for a central bank digital currency (CBDC), as well as testing the perceived benefits and challenges of introducing one.

In its Statement of Intent for 2021 to 2024, the Reserve Bank says it's investigating the future of money, including the need for digital money issued by the Reserve Bank to the general public, being a CBDC."

How confident are you that the RBNZ/ Gov will control your finances to your benefit?

Excellent work by Minister Robertson today in Parliament giving Collins and team the skewering they deserve.

He was funny. Jacinda slipped one in as well, during question-time.

      All good fun for now.

Meanwhile our labour government does all it can to stop anyone from seeing how the reserve and treasury models forecast house prices. Maintaining power at all costs. How the Labour Party is screwing NZ for a few to have a nice job. This government is doing all it can in its arrogance. but don’t worry there are plenty with blind alegence that think working for the people is not really important. I wait for another post on how bad the opposition is, meanwhile the govt screws the masses, but that’s ok.

Dr. Cut and Paste, political analyst, can't quite grasp that Martyn Bradbury and Chris Trotter do not represent, or speak for, the Left. Proof of this in Trotter's case is that the link provided leads to a subscriber only section of…

    …Cameron Slater's The BFD.

Perhaps Bryce could stop writing about another's views and address the actual issue with some intellectual rigour of his own.

Given that "the Left" is an abstraction rather than a monolith, who does? I concede Trotter, but as much as I can't stand him, Bombast's heart is in the right place.
And I don't think it was ever presented as a political analysis or anything other than a summary of prominent viewpoints.

      • Muttonbird 6.2.1

His job description is in the footnote. It says, "*Dr Bryce Edwards is Political Analyst in Residence at Victoria University of Wellington."

How else are we to view his work, other than that which is from a self described "Political Analyst"?

Did you hear that? They called me a w****! They actually called me a w****!

          Italian Admiral:
But, Señora Perón, it's an easy mistake. I'm still called an admiral, though I gave up the sea long ago.

"A 35C wet-bulb temperature was once thought impossible. But last year scientists reported that locations in the Persian Gulf and Pakistan’s Indus river valley had already reached this threshold, although only for an hour or two, and only over small areas. As climate change drives temperatures upwards, heatwaves and accompanying unliveable temperatures are predicted to last longer and occur over larger areas and in new locations, including parts of Africa and the US south-east, over the decades to come"

    Theres nothing more to say.

trying to write a post, too fucking depressing and I'm not supposed to rail at Labour voters.
