For your Friday’s entertainment the live acoustic version of blues maestro Darren Watson’s I got your office right here. Darren of Planet Key fame is now in the Court of Appeal trying to protect his artistic right to have his music played. The song was effectively banned by the Electoral Commission during the last election campaign. The High Court ruled very clearly that the decision was wrong but the Electoral Commission has appealed this decision to the Court of Appeal.
Darren has teamed up with Matt Langley on a nationwide “Shoot Your Television Tour”.
From the Eventfinder page:
Wellington blues musician Darren Watson and Dunedin alt-folk/country troubadour Matt Langley are teaming up to encourage people to ‘shoot their televisions’, get their thumbs off their smart phones, and check out some of New Zealand’s finest original music live in concert this winter.
Darren Watson and Matt Langley’s Shoot Your Television Winter Tour will visit towns and cities across the country from late June to mid July playing bars, cafes, halls, and house concerts.
The details are here.
And to finish video of Matt Langley’s song “Told you so”.

The server will be getting hardware changes this evening starting at 10pm NZDT.
The site will be off line for some hours.
Great, I will share the links.
Is there any link for crowd funding or to buy their music? I tried last time but could not find it on iTunes.
The issues are so complicated in the destruction of our country (and world) that music, art and satire are one of the best ways to spread the message.
Like with Ports of Auckland again our taxpayers money is being wasted appealing this decision!
Someone OIA how much the taxpayer was charged last time for legal action.
Nothing against the All blacks and sports people who tweeted go Nats on the day.
What a disgustingly corrupt crony country we are turning into!
Soon the UN will have to investigate our elections!
Nats AGAINST Freedom of Speech and Music!
No wonder One direction is his favourite band.
