   I like Oliver – a lot.

   I know he dosnt like Trump. Not even a wee bit.

   But this one video – I think he was far too one-eyed and came across as such – damaging his credibility (well with me at least).

   Thats not to say that its just because of the content (I loved his anti trump dedicated show) – it was just this looks like a deliberate brushing over of Hillary.

   Having said that – still subscribe to his channel and never miss a show still.

   No fan of Trump but I’d just about support Stalin over Clinton.

   She is the most reckless warmonger to come along in a long time. I’d rather have an asshole NY populist who has not demonstrated a bloodlust than Hillary the hawk.

       Sorry for being obtuse, TH, but I am not sure if I am a raisin man or not. I do like raisins. But not so much as to describe myself as a raisin man. But I do not think that is what you were driving at.

           No, I am not a Trump man but I draw a straight line from Clinton to Cheney to Hillary and see a continuum of policy that is beyond reprehensible. War is a racket and those people are masters at that game. Trump will be the USA’s Belusconi and the world can suffer a buffoon but not that much more war.

               Hopefully the Greens will get past the 5% threshold so they get Federal election funding next time. That may then shake some serious Green candidates out of the bushes. If the Libertarians also get past 5% (despite the amazing ignorance of their candidate about world affairs), the landscape of future elections could change considerably in the USA. If I were to vote in this dog’s breakfast of an election, I’d cast it for whatever third party looked most likely to get past the 5% line such that the two party B.S. is at least somewhat disrupted.

   “False Equivalence” has become a mantra of the New Zealand National party and their blogger muck rackers.
   You see them bring up unrelated things or minor things all the time as a defence for the National party doing their major scandals.

   E.G. (Helen Clark when in office had her driver drive over the speed limit so it is alright for National MP Chester Borrows to drive over a protesters foot with his car)

     False Equivalence is the Nats primary tool. In your example, Since Helen’s driver went over the speed limit, it is ok for the nats to screw everybody. Forever. (Except rich guys).

     Say something bad about Putin or Trump and CVs response will pretty much be something along the lines of “yeah but how about the USA/Clinton/West!”

   I’d like to know why Clinton destroyed or deleted over 30,000 emails and then told Congress that they were just on yoga and Chelsea’s wedding.

   Also why she her staffers destroyed data and records AFTER she received a congressional subpoena for those materials. Clinton went through something like 13 smart phones and ipads, a number of which were smashed by hammer and the rest simply went missing – when they should have been retained by the State Dept.

   And what was the reason that foreign corporate interests paid her and Bill tens of millions of dollars per year, donations and fees which shot up in value once she became Sec State.

   One more thing – how is it that Clinton let the Benghazi embassy get overrun by a terrorist offensive and then claim that it was merely ordinary protestors angry at a youtube video.

     Money and power. Power to get more money. The Clintons are evil greed incarnate. The USA has been well and truly screwed for quite some time now, made worse since 9/11 permitted even greater insults to liberty and peace but these people, emboldened as an anointed dynasty will make Bush/Cheny blush. If not a third party, pray for Trump. It is really that bad.

     CV, you are spot on and the Clinton Foundation is at the core of it all.

     You forgot Haiti. And Iraq. And Libya. And cutting a deal to sell 20% of the USA’s uranium to Russia, and more and more and more.

       Also how is it that so many of Clinton’s inner circle of staff have now been granted immunity from prosecution by the FBI?

       You don’t get granted immunity from the FBI unless you have been caught committing federal level wrong doing. What was that wrong doing? Were they doing it on Clinton’s instructions?

       What did the FBI get in exchange for all these grants of immunity from prosecution?

       Or is the FBI now just a political tool of the deep state supporting the Clinton machine?

   The comments on any post about Hillary Clinton not being as bad as Donald Trump will prove the point of the post.

   Guys, nobody, including John Oliver, said Clinton is blameless or squeaky-clean or a moral paragon.

   We’re just saying she’s not as bad as Trump. This is a terribly low bar to set. It exists nevertheless.

   I read an excellent quote the other day on the US election.

   “It all boils down to this, who would you rather see holding the nuclear button, Trump or Clinton. I’m voting for her, the rest is noise.”

   Quite to the point I thought.
