Behold the great British centrist male, finally scaling the logical summit of sleazy British establishmentarism.

Another sports body upholding women's sex based rights to female only sports.

    https://www.cbssports.com/general/news/naia-small-colleges-association-bans-transgender-athletes-from-womens-sports-competitions/

    Four important issues here.

    1. trans lobby groups will point out there have been no trans identified athletes in NAIA. But best practice is to ban trans identified males from women's sport pre-emptively because once the records are broken by men in women's sport, it will be hard for women to catch up.

    2. trans people aren't banned from sport, so what the headlines that claim that is what is happening. Instead, NAIA rules now say that anyone can participate in the men's category, and only females can participate in the women's category. That means trans people of either sex can participate in men's sport, and trans identified males are banned from women's sport. Trans identified females can take part in either. No trans people are banned from sport.

    3. There are boundaries around fairness that all athletes have to abide by. eg men are banned from women's sport. Inclusion isn't inherently good, exclusion isn't inherently bad.

    4. when you actually ask constituencies, in this case NAIA did a survey, most people will land on fairness rather than ideology. There is some UK research showing that the UK has become more liberal, with the exception of transgender issues. That's because most people understand what is fair and reasonable. Rights to housing, jobs, freedom from violence is something people will support. The alleged right for males to be in women's spaces, most people will say no.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth over public sector job cuts continues:

    https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/04/17/a-thousand-govt-jobs-cut-in-black-day-for-public-service/

But here's a rare sane perspective from the MSM: the cuts announced so far barely scratch the surface of the bloat that happened under Ardern and Hipkins:

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/350249071/public-service-cuts-situation-not-simple-it-seems

But I agree with the author that standard cuts across the board don't make much sense. Defence, health and education should if anything be strengthened, though reforms are much needed in the latter two – I was pleased to see the government put the boot into the hopeless Tertiary Education Commission. And on the other hand, I'd like to know what essential services would be lost if the so-called demographic ministries disappeared completely.

Big Hairy News discuss the meaning of 'trusted media' with Greg Tredwell, co-author of the media trust survey 2024 results recently published. BHN facebook 14 April 2024 20:27

Topics covered include increasing 'news avoidance' and the fact that trusted media is media that represents the community values of your identity group, rather than trust of the factual information presented as such. A good in-depth unpick of the changing media landscape.

Listening today to radio describing how the people of Tauranga have been "let down" by the commissioners running the city for the last three years.

I would love to have reminded them that Tauranga has been let down by the series of right-wing politicians that have systematically stuffed Tauranga residents over the decades. The commissioners have done a much better job than those self-serving conspiracy theorists, National and NZ First hacks have ever done.

The best thing the people of Tauranga could do would be to elect a fresh body of left-leaning councillors who would take Tauranga forward instead of backwards like the political right. But they will probably just go back to the same old hacks like Larry Baldock who shafted them in the first place.

    Kia Ora whano

Well I did not whisper that one.

What our people have to do for a bright prosperous future is first is get jobs for our mokopuna houses for the mokopuna a house is the whano moanga. Also teach them about money. Money is powerful teach them how to save there power and teach them how to pass that power on to there mokopuna. We have to become asset owners as having assets is the only way to a good future. A person I no went for a holiday and said that he didn't like seeing the poor homeless people such a shame. I said that nz will be like that in 20 years and what do you no in only 9 years and nz has the same problem.

If we don't learn about putea and teach our mokopuna about putea we will be STUFFED.

We need to teach our mokopuna there whapapa learn our true history as some nasty people have changed our history.

Last but not least we must learn to work together as the nemesis has a simple system of divided and concer to steal our mokopuna future's.
