And no wonder. During the pandemic Winston Peters was a complete jerk. Demanding that the economy be put before public health. At the height of the threat memorably demanding that the borders be opened "Yesterday".
It wouldn't have escaped older voters attention that they were the most vulnerable to the infection. And so Peters and his party were deservedly kicked into touch.
Will he be back?
Who knows.
But, I would say unlikely. voters don't forgive treachery lightly.
For me it was a failure to support and promote Tracey Martin, and his penchant for "The Blokes" with poor choices of Jones.

Glad to hear it. Tracey Martin got along well with her Labour counterparts in govt. and from all accounts they were impressed with her.
It won't be the last time she is engaged by this government to do a high profile job for them. She's trustworthy and doesn't play silly political games.

To finally officially mark this momentous occasion in American history, from this distance, it will be interesting to see what shape the official, (and unofficial), celebrations in America take.
Whatever shape these celebrations take, I can see that the celebrations of this momentous event in US history growing even bigger in the coming years.

The unintended humour just keeps coming.
I think Winston was the only one who ever really understood Lee Kuan Yu's economic development recipe – the one that all the tiger economies followed, that really goes back to Emperor Meiji.
