Good to see Minister Sepuloni providing support for foreign migrant workers who are stuck here.

The Ministry of Social Development estimates about 5800 will receive the benefit out of about 267,000 temporary work, student and visitor visa holders currently in New Zealand.

I'm looking forward to those orchardists getting more pressure to pay reasonable wages.

Did anyone else notice last week that ACC took an 18% stake in Les Mills International?

That has to be one of the neatest portfolio fits I've seen in a while.

Vaguely rember Jacinda suggested that they need to pay well to get the best, when chalanged on MP's salaries.

Also vaguely remember hearing on the radio that mp's used to be paid about the same as teachers.

Looking at mac1's list one can't help but wonder ' if that is the best that that money can get, we are up the proverbial creek without a paddle, or even a canoe '

It's not money. It's selection. It's culture. It's who they get and why, and how they choose.

        Their problem.

Part of me is like "wow, that's obviously pretty much the first time she's been on a stage, and she gets pretty much the worst possible outcome any performer/presenter can imagine (short of the catering table being emptied at you).

The other part of me is like "shit, this is what got you on stage to confront the 'universal fear' of direct interpersonal conflict? Fucksake".
