I have 3 tickets in my hot hand to give away to the Laneway Festival (the one that we have been advertising for months). It is at Silo Park down at the waterfront in Auckland on the Monday the 28th of January. I’ll hand out tickets for those who request them (e-mail to me) in the usual order – authors, commentators, and readers and then on order of request. So tell me who you are on the site.
The forecast looks good, so hopefully it will be like the image on the right (flogged from scoop).
The schedule is here. It runs from 11:30am to 10:30pm over 4 stages. The list of the artists is here. I had fun listening to their clips in bed the other night on the pad. Even to my ancient ears most of them sound pretty good.
While I did rather like the idea of going to a music festival in the city. But unfortunately the vagaries of my workload and Lyn’s precluded me from snaffling some tickets myself. But I suspect that armed with suitable levels of sunscreen and liquids, it will wind up as being a pleasant day.
See, this would never happen on Red Alert.
Why would I waste time on trademe? Frigging hell I barely have enough time to swallow pills every day – and they keep me alive ! Every time I have been on Trademe it has a return value that I could get flipping burgers. And that was when I was doing well – which was seldom.
My grandparents used to work at Crown Lynn doing quality control and experiments. My parents selling their household was the only time I have ever seen ANYONE make a decent return on trademe… And that taught me that the only way to make real money of trademe was to sell crap.
“And that taught me that the only way to make real money of trademe was to sell crap.”
And here’s me, been sitting on a fortune all these years without knowing it 😆
Fabulous time…a great event
