The current rise of populism challenges the way we think about people’s relationship to the economy. We seem to be entering an era of populism, in which leadership in a democracy is based on preferences of the population which do not seem entirely rational nor serving their longer interests. ...

Then down to the bar for the final.
Just shifted these to here in case anyone wants to get in on the action for the prize of top score prediction.

The Aussies where out of gas against Argentina ,they’ve had a harder run to the final, the abs fitness will shine through in the last 20
Have they got the referee on board this time too?
Steve won’t tell me, but it just dawned on me that the last time we had a jk on the team we won the world cup so with the new jk subbing in as drinks boy the omens are good.
Speaking of waterboys, did you hear that National Party stooge David Farrar on The Panel this afternoon?
Its the social post you’re in
The Panel is the epitome of a light chat show. Doesn’t that count as “social” (in the worst sense of course)?
29 – 17 to the abs.
with the amount of players from the manawatu/horowhenua area, its a cert.
yes morrissey, the ref is sorted too.
one more sleep, one more sleep.
Well done!!
We finally have comedy back on our screens. Funny Girls. And it IS funny. Watched it last Friday. It’s on TV3 after 7 days. Really good to see these women shine as comedians in their own right and in their own series. I did actually laugh out loud. Some cutting gender politics in there too.
Here’s last weeks episode:

Great news, Rosie.
Jono and Ben (and Guy) is really funny too, I think.
Hmmm Morrissey. I deleted my earlier reply to you. Not for reasons of agreement or disagreement but for potential legal reasons…………….
Gardening More Gardening and even more Gardening as long as the bloody rain stays away. And NO farkin Rugby.
Lols. Ditto on the gardening and no rugby front
just watched Everest – pretty gut wrenching. I’m glad I am not into the tops of mountains and respect to those who are.
what?
Who?
While I am hoping for an AB’s win on Sunday morning I am anticipating a great game of rugby. The only thing that could exceed the anticipation is the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the sad sacks on this site who begrudge an AB win and PM shaking Ritchie’s hand.
Well we must not mix politics and sport, especially on weekend social you norty tory
I have been wondering what embarrassing stunt JK will pull to top his 3 way handshake (if we win).
Perhaps this?
You got the bit about keeping it social right Tory?
I couldn’t give a shit about the rugby but that doesn’t make me or anyone else a sad sack. Nor will I be wailing and gnashing my teeth about anything to do with it, or begrudge a win. I’ve got better things to do.
Grow up.
Waghorn you were much closer.
Good work the team.
Gsays gets the virtual beer this week.
Have to say I thought the Aussies were out the door at half time but glad they made a match of it.
