One issue with Creative Commons is that people don’t read the license and then don’t modify it to suit their purposes.
You end up with Wikis licensed under the unmodified Creative Commons license trying to sell months of community effort and being blocked by one person who DID read the license when they submitted their work.
The moral is: read every license you intend to use. If you can’t understand it, use wikipedia to find a common license with a plain-english overview.
