I for one am looking forward to many Aussies coming here as Global Boiling tightens it's grip.

In the mean time they are working their butts off to do something about it.

Mind you asking kiwi farmers to think about anything but their feeling is a hard task these days – as they see every thing as a communist plot.

Here is a great video from the ABC about Climate Smart Cotton. And how farmers are making a difference and profit.

For a little light relief… I saw this description of Luxon on another site. I don't think the author likes him:

    Luxon:

the smug lying misogynistic poor-hating God-bothering be-suited roll-on deodorant salesman is now our PM.

      PM-elect

    • Adrian 2.2

And the Baldheaded Bully as an ex-AirNZ mate told me that is what Luxon was called there, is still at it., in an interview yesterday when he was asked about his 7 houses and $4 million p.a AirNZ income just exactly how much he was worth, his very first reaction was to LIE, he said "I wouldn't have a clue". The lying turd !. Fuckers like him just don't care that people know they are lying, they brazen it out. How do I know, because people like Luxon know exactly how much they are worth down to the very
last cent because that is the most important thing to them. Their "value ", yeah right.

Get used to it, we are stuck with The Liar.

I am pretty disgusted with the idiots here going on about bald headed bullies and how much they are worth. Why don't you useless munts go out and grow the economy ,increase the tax take and start moving our economy forward, rather than calling the people that do stuff rude names. Results matter and labour failed with a minus F.

farmers are not dumb. They can smell communism like a long fin eel smells liver.

Luxon is making a rod for his own back.

Some talk of the negotiations was already circulating however, with Richard Harman writing for Politik saying Peters had already been offered the role of Speaker of the House, but rejected it.

Luxon denied this, saying: "I appreciate there's lots of reckons, I appreciate there's lots of views about what could happen… I appreciate there's lots of reports and lots of articles that I've read, and lots of columns about lots of things".

    "It's wrong. It's wrong."

Fun fact: Luxon said “actually” 7× in the quoted text – he thinks he’s still on the campaign trail and perhaps there’s a kernel of truth in it …

Well, the silly bugger thinks he won the election by endless repetition of slogans and 'actually', so he is certainly not going to stop now!

Pretty damn cool. Electric motors fitted adjacent to the rear disc brakes of FWD cars, 15kwh of batteries and you have a PHEV with a 70km range.

Australian design student Alexander Burton has developed a prototype kit for cheaply converting petrol or diesel cars to hybrid electric, winning the country's national James Dyson Award in the process.

    […]

Usually, the process would involve removing the internal combustion engine and all its associated hardware, like the gearbox and hydraulic brakes, to replace them with batteries and electric motors.

With REVR, those components are left untouched. Instead, a flat, compact, power-dense axial flux motor would be mounted between the car's rear wheels and disc brakes, and a battery and controller system placed in the spare wheel well or boot.

Some additional off-the-shelf systems – brake and steering boosters, as well as e-heating and air conditioning – would also be added under the hood.

By taking this approach, Burton believes he'll be able to offer the product for around AU$5,000 (£2,640) and make it compatible with virtually any car.

Wow hope this makes it to market, have to worry that it will get brought out and buried by one of the big manufactors…

    • Phillip ure 4.2

That is so fucken cool..!..I have been waiting for conversion kits..

      This'll do the trick…

For many people 70 k range a day will be enough…

He was offered Speaker because of the restrictions on the role. They tried to shut him up but Peters is 50 Shades more cunning than those ChaosCreators.

A National Government is not good for all house owners. Spare a thought for those in Wellington.

His data showed, across the last 11 elections, house prices in Wellington had outperformed the national average by 3.3 percentage points when Labour was elected and fell behind by 4.4 percentage points when National was elected.

Golriz Ghahraman MP and Damien Grant are to tour New Zealand universities together to cultivate a debate about how to save the Middle East?

    Questions to be covered.

Is removing Hamas from power in Gaza ethnic cleansing, or a public service to humanity?

Should Benjamin Netanyahu offer to sack his two fascist colleagues, resign and restore the basic law to ensure both Israeli unity and the chance of peace?

Should the UN commit to nation building in Gaza, or allow the Fatah PA administration to return to Gaza and operate there as they do in the West Bank?

Sponsored by the Democracy Project (since peace in the Middle East is more likely than an egalitarian New Zealand while boomers are alive and NACT is electable).
