Guilt is derived from a feeling youve done something wrong, more like hes been handed another press release authored by the script writers.

Hes already shown his entitled attitude this is sending a message 'fall in line', the fact ANZ allowed it out shows division as banks prefer economic activity, not austerity.

Luxon “I am entitled….” Referring to renting his own apartment for $56k per annum in Wellington

Around $40,000 gain per year over 9 years – all tax free.

But being pentecostal, sees it as prosperity religion – the cream rising to the top and lording it above the poor down below.

It’s as old as the Tory party at prayer – and pre democratic, in the sense those who have property are a gentry class above the precariat.

So Brash is a racist pos.

    • Muttonbird 2.1

It's weird Brash maintains his racist beliefs are sincerely held to the point of taking legal action to defend that position, rather than avail himself of the out Hooton offered him.

"Don't tell me I'm not 100% racist", he cries.

Just different brands of snakes IMO those 2.

Hooton trying to realign himself after putting wayne brown in office…showers all round folks.

    • SPC 2.2

Hooton tries to explain stuff, he postulates narratives.

He is from the right, so often wrong – so gets support from people like Brash's cousin from Hunn Report back country, the assimilated "Rimmer".

He has respect for Brash and so would like to believe Brash is just doing a Newman, fronting a right wing (here end the Treaty) ACT campaign from outside parliament to get the votes for right wing economic policy.

However it seems Brash sees it as Orewa speech reprise, nostalgia for his heyday in politics. In that he is like Douglas, who promoted mainstream market reforms, but then became a right wing applause junkie.

    @Saul_Sadka

So here are TWO questions with ONE answer:

    1. Why is it so easy for Israel to recruit spies among their enemies?
    2. What have been the effects of the efforts by Israel's enemies to wipe it off the map for 80 years on their culture and economy?

So, is it Hassan Nasrallah, Ali Karaki or Abu Ali Rida who has been the deep cover Mossad agent for the last 40 years?

    I'm only asking questions…

The Civilian reporting on the Beehive

Hamish Rutherford is ending his career in media and returning to cricket, a more civilised sport suitable for those with family.

The PM meanwhile, is doing his own media management and has begun by warning all those involved in banking, financial advice and former heads of Treasury – not to mention that 35/36 OECD nations have a CGT, lest it gives New Zealanders ideas – as it is mainstream policy in the modern democratic nation state.

He claimed that there should be no new taxes, because the economy was not doing well, all without acknowledging that it is also not common practice to lay off workers in a recession because that makes it hard for retail.

    PS.

    FACT CHECK

“As a former CEO, I understand what she’s doing… the big Australian banks make a lot of money off the New Zealand public, and I would just suggest to her that maybe taking more money off New Zealanders isn’t the road forward.”

This is a lie, a crafted misrepresentation by a political craftsman.

It is intended to caste an undeserving person as a hero to the locals and pose a well intentioned and honest person as a foreigner.

1.No he does not understand, she is being honest. And it is a comment made as a CEO because the bank makes money from the housing market and actually pays tax on the profit – unlike landlords, not paying any tax on their CG.

2.The bank would not make any money from a CGT.

3.A CGT only takes money off some New Zealanders. And the money, like income tax, is then available to keep people employed and provide services – such as fund primary health care, without borrowing/debt. Most OECD/IMF advice to us is to broaden our taxation system to fund government better and invest in infrastructure.

It seems Luxon is a champion of the landlord class, and governs for them and not others.
