I have seen Campbell really rip into Labour, but when he does he uses rational arguments and good information e.g. early on in the pandemic he was writing a lot about the shortage of ventilators. Fortunately because of the Govts hard and early stance, to do we didn't need them.
The Govt has succeeded in preventing community transmission (no cases in hospital from the community thing is the best bit of evidence for this). We have cases from the border securely isolated. They acted ultra swiftly when the breaches were identified.

I noted today that as a result of Victoria's far more obvious 'stuff-ups' that have led to the virus spreading from quaratined travellers in Melbourne hotels to security staff, presumably fratinising with them without proper potection, and from there into the communtiy that the federal government has now belatedly decided that all states must test all quarantined travellers twice (like NZ) before release. Until now, it's been up to those quarantined to have a test if they had any symptoms. A third of Melbourne quarantiners refused to have any tests and they weren't enforced. What is surprising considering the overreaction by the Nats and media in NZ is that the normally rabid Aussie media and rabid Aussie politicans have not used the stuff-ups and uptick in communtiy transmission to berate the Labor led Victorian government. In fact, quite the contrary, other states have offered help with testing, even ScoMo has been very supportive and generous. It's just been seen as an exercise in learning about how to deal with complacency and changing strategies as the fight agaisnt the virus proceeds. But then,Oz isn't in the throes of an election campaign which one party cannot win without changing the narrative of success to one of 'national disgrace' as Gordon Campbell has pointed out.

Goodbye Anne Tolley. I remember when you finished off community education when you first got in. Night classes where people learnt, advanced, and connected.
