    What the hell is this? They are going to dump an artificial lake in the middle of land unsuitable for dairy farming so they can expand dairy farming.

    The 10-year consent is subject to a series of conditions, including a 15 percent reduction in nitrogen losses by 2025 and 25 percent by 2030, auditing of farm environment plans, monitoring ground and surface water quality and remediation and response plans.

    Environment Canterbury (ECan) can review the consent if improvements are unable to be achieved.

    First thing ECan will do when things go south is the relax the already relaxed conditions.

    I don't know whether anyone here is interested in watching the live volcanic activity in Iceland. There are several feeds, but this one seems to be the most active at this moment:

    The average height of the lava fountain is around 40 to 50 metres but it ebbs and flows.

    If you google… iceland volcano/live… you will get the comment section from all around the world. Flocam is the current best link to follow.
