With the direct subsidy of 200b euro the energy costs are somewhat abated,but German CO2 goes through roof as Coal ramps up,LNG coming from Australia,and long term LNG contract with Qatar commencing 2024 ( 20 yr contract)

It could have been worse if they put pineapple on their Pizza.

This can't be correct. And there are other 'incorrect' reports about inflation, post Covid, in other countries
Inflation is only happening in NZ isn't it and only because we have
a) a female PM,
or
b) a Labour Govt
or
c) a low unemployment rate

Australia just came in at 6.9% for October (only NZ and Upper volta have 1/4 CPI) the AUS figures include a fuel tax increase (as subsidy removed) and increased costs for Electricity,and rents.
Europe has higher electricity costs due to poor policy.
NZ government debt (total borrowings ) is now 217 billion an increase on last year of 33 billion (ytd) and the interest bill is now 2 b (for the 4 months post budget)
