It reminded me of something that did the rounds a few months ago: this humourous slideshow commentary from the New York Times, examining the ‘hidden messages’ in this year’s candidate logos.
This piece reckons the NYT got it wrong on Obama’s logo though, dubbing his, in all its variations, “the hardest working logo”.
[UPDATE: and thanks to r0b in the comments section who points out that our mates over at blogblog have recently reviewed NZ party logos – here, and here.]
‘All the way with Humphrey’?
That doesn’t rhyme.
Now, ‘all the way with LBJ’, that rhymes.
Based on this, we can conclude that if your slogan rhymes, you win the election 100% of the time, if it doesn’t, you lose 100% of the time.
The good people at KBB had a look at current NZ political logos a while back, see here, and here.
