Great to see the low paid mobilise so effectively.

Support staff are paid by a school out of its operational grant. It is not paid for directly by the government so I fail to see the point of a big protest march as the rate of pay is ultimately a matter for each school board to determine.

The school is given funding, they are not told how much to pay their support staff. The government can pass the buck as they are not responsible for setting the pay rates of individual support staff.
