National MP Parmjeet Parmar has been accused of threatening to tell the employers of submitters to a Select Committee what they had said in evidence if they did not withdraw their statements.

 

Employment Relations changes announced

The Government has announced changes to the Employment Relations law which on the whole are positive and beneficial for workers.  But following New Zealand First lobbying the 90 day fire at will provision will be retained for small firms.

Stand Up for Housing: Protest today in Aotea Square

Young people, union members, and other Aucklanders will meet in Aotea Square today to make some noise about the devastating Auckland housing crisis.  Stand Up Youth Union Movement and Unions Auckland are hosting the Monopoly-themed event, which will highlight the damaging effects of the crisis and call on local and central government to do a lot more to fix the housing market.

The server will be getting hardware changes this evening starting at 10pm NZDT.
