I recommend that drinking games associated with POTUS fibs are not engaged in.

Anyone think Harrison has a shot in South Carolina? I need something to feel tragic and unlikely and slightly forlorn about.

I'm going to go to the US Democrat Party event in Auckland on election night for unadulterated screaming – either way.

Nate at 538 doesn't believe it

Yes I'm well aware that according to 538 Lindsay is given a 76 out of 100 simulations chance of winning. Thing is – Lindsay is pissing off a whole bunch of women voters pushing the ACB vote through the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Plus 20 +million Americans stand to lose their Health Care if she is promoted to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court pushes through a planned vote on to effectively abolish Obama Care.

Repugnants are not the flavour of the month right now, and Lindsay is one of the least popular.

It will be interesting to see just how much voter suppression and intimidation the right wing can pull off in the next couple of weeks. By all accounts if this election was to be held in any other country there would howls of protest by independent oversees on the undemocratic practises which seem to be taken as normal in a country that boasts itself as the pinnacle of democracy.

Or as a tribute to the hard rocking lifestyle of the late Eddie Van Halen shots and lines instead and see how long you remain upright.

My best was about 48 hours…but my 'shots' were opiod-based…but if doing alcohol and coke…I would recommend champagne as booze of choice…..coke/gin can also take u to some interesting places..(this has been a public service announcement..)…and so is this:..I am a political junkie..who studied the american political system at/to a post-graduate level…and I was bored rigid…so if contemplating watching a replay..I would say don't bother..eh..?

How on Earth, can anyone, anywhere, possibly support the US under either of these two Tyrants to be in charge of the MRA (Military Regime of America.)

    is it over yet?

I'm glad there aren't many swing voters left, as it's actually quite hard to separate these two on the surface.

There is a clear difference in message. On the night and previously.

But didn't you find it somewhat deflating to realise that the answer to the trump problem/question ..is effin biden..?my takeaway image of bidens' career…(aside from the tens of thousands of african-americans rotting in jails for miniscule amounts of drugs..'cos of the hard-on-crime act he enthused for at the time..(at least he had the decency to apologise for it in this debate)..that and the look of absolute glee on his face as he/obama/Hillary watched that live hit on their former operative..osama bin laden..and he's the answer..?…oh..!..and he still loves fracking…(and there was only one cocaine-sniff from trump…must have been a more measured dose this time..)

It was unwatchable. Trump lies all the time – and not little ones, big, grotesque and incoherent lies. Biden sounded briefly OK when he inadvertently half-echoed Sanders, but the rest of the time, as the not-Trump not-Sanders, he's occupying an ideological strip of ground so narrow, he virtually disappears. At least the polls look good for Biden – so it’s down to how much voter-suppression and associated sht-fckery the Republicans can pull off.

At least Biden had a go at answering questions and sometimes talked down the camera to the people. Hard to guess which bits Trump spoke had truth and which were downright lies.

Wouldn't be terrible if USA developed a socialist Health system. Lucky that NZ dodged that bullet!

BUT BUT the virus is almost over.

We ONLY had 74000 new cases yesterday!!!!!

      • ianmac 6.1.1

BUT BUT we test far more than anyone else so more positive cases.

If we didn't test we would have no positives. Don't you understand these obvious facts dv?

    Tonight's episode: Diarrhoea

    Previously: Explosive Diarrhoea

So underwhelming, ill prepared, and ill equipped. Both of them.

I might exhale for the first time in four years if Trump loses. But Biden is so boring.

Boring would be nice right now. Wouldn't it?

  8. Maurice 8

A pair of dithering old white men – with levers of power that wilted long ago?

  9. Phillip ure 9

There is only one thing positive to say about trumps' time in office..that is: he hasn't invaded any other countries..(whereas by this time in his presidency..obamas' hands were well-bloodied…and with more to come)..

Thought it was a pretty good debate, well moderated and as fluid as could be expected.

Trump obviously won the debate as all he had to do was stay reasonably calm to do that (after his last performance), which he did, both Biden and Trump landed very telling blows throughout, which is unsurprising as both have such appalling records there is a lot of ammunition to fire at each other.

All and all not bad and worth watching I guess, if debates are your thing.
