Wondering where our summer here in Wellington disappeared to, now we’re expecting a WEATHER BOMB overnight! Must be climate change, I’d like a long dry really hot spell which isn’t going to happen. Saw in the news Bob Parker visiting Wellington was scared to be here after CHCH who can blame him. Wellington’s next on the list sometime. On that cheery note have a good weekend all!
Sunny Marlborough with a name which means “Hole in the Sky.” Long summer days. Warm nights.
But wait!
2012 lowest Marlborough February sunshine hours for 80 years! Just 59% of average. Expect the tourism people will hide the facts. Yet Feb’s rainfall about half of average.
Watched a confused thistledown expectant of a hot summer breeding season fall limply to a lost cause.
Having had one sporting event cancelled in anticipation of the Weather Bomb for tomorrow, will be thoroughly p–d off if the Bomb proves to be another met office dud…
Return of the King.
Tragedy, exile in a stone tower, survival against all odds, adventure, a beautiful princess nursed back to health from near death, redemption, triumph. This story has it all.
In a victory for conservation, and for life itself, the giant weta has surrendered it’s crown.
It turns out that the Giant Weta after all, is only a pretender to the throne of the world’s biggest insect.
In a triumphal return after a long and lonely exile on a small rocky spire off the coast of it’s native land.
All hail the new King, the Giant Tree Lobster.

God I hope the weather doesn’t kill it.
I just had a game of golf in the middle of the bomb. Auckland is not so badly affected. Twas a very exhilarating game, half of the holes were really short but the other half were very long …
