I will try to provide some more detailed comment on the budget tomorrow but my initial impression is that today Judith Collins was missing in action and David Seymour revelled in his chance to oppose the Government’s budget.

He has one important feature that favours him and the ACT party.

At least they have an alternative proposal.

Collins is  missing out big time because the vast majority of the population is comfortable with what is happening.  Trying to raise the grumpiness level of ordinary kiwis will never work.  Especially when you do not have an alternative vision.

Seymour at least presented an alternative.  An intellectually indefensible alternative and from an inclusive Aotearoan view a terrifyingly alternative but at least it is an alternative.

If you need proof here is Judith’s response to the budget.

And here is Smeghead’s response.

New Zealand’s right wing parties have a problem.  Smeghead is their most coherent communicator.  And the only one with a future view.  Dystopian as it may be.

Certain acts once enacted can float to the top. Lookout NZ the 30% will have their say.

Yes, Seymour, the main opposition leader, and is just as popular as the main opposition leader Navalny is in Russia, zero.

    Rees-Mogg for Opposition leader.

At least a proper Canterbury accent like Philip Burdon surely.

heaven help if Seymour is the opposition leader, a man of tired cliches and recycled whines from 2 decades or more ago

I happened to hear Collins on the radio on Thursday afternoon in 'her' verdict of the Budget.

I got the impression the woman is completely and utterly insane or more likely unhinged mentally. She came across, on the radio, as someone who just doesn't get it that she is a failure and no-one would ever want to vote her as OUR leader of NZ and a representative of NZ to the rest of the world..

And so may I congratulate National on having such a poor quality leader. Please keep her on are YOUR leader because having her there renders National as being unsuitable as a political party for vote at any future election.

Recently I was thinking National are no longer a major political party. Their day in the sun is now consigned to the past. They now comprise of amateurs and has-beens. Not really a party one would vote for if we had any faith in them. Which we don't of course. Who and how can we have faith in National when their behaviour comes across as childish, petty and pretty well stupid???!!!!

Now even though the Budget most likely will not do me and many others like me any good I believe what it intends to provide is a damn sight better than anything National could ever dream up. I mean National are the "On the Take especially for their MPs OWN personal gains" political party. This government is the Giving government. There is a vast distance and whilst they will make mistakes and we all will find fault with them they are much better than National can ever be.

And so to National at your pending demise I will not say to you to Rest in Peace because you just don't know what that means. Just hurry up and cease to exist and therefore save NZ taxpayers a considerable amount of money in lost wages for the self-serving, opportunistic has-been National MPs.
