But what are they replacing zero hours with? Staff at countdown can get offered as little as 6 hours a week, guaranteed, with the hope a worker might pick up more. I would be very surprised if anyone gets 20+ hours a week guaranteed, to replace zero hours. Then winz tops them up if they are earning less than the dole threshold. Is this really what a rock star economy looks like?
