Some very perceptive comments on this article on the Stuff website – the majority reckon that Groundswell are a bunch of idiots urged on by their local (Nat) MP Penny Simmonds. As Damian O'Connor mentioned they would be far better stopping off at Gore or Queenstown to assist in the massive cleanup following the weather bomb which hit the area recently.
