I'm surprised at how tepid MFAT and Mahuta are being on Samoa. Simple 'institutional support neutrality' is not reflective of how at risk Samoan democracy is now.
We don't know what is going on through diplomatic channels. It is best if this is resolved by the Samoans themselves. Were you looking for a gunboat?

Samoa is a weak country with strong non-state power in the form of churches and chiefs. Very similar to Fiji.
Much depends on whether the Head of State accedes to the Supreme Court.
