The current rise of populism challenges the way we think about people’s relationship to the economy. We seem to be entering an era of populism, in which leadership in a democracy is based on preferences of the population which do not seem entirely rational nor serving their longer interests. ...

Jesus. Even Brian Crump on Nights at RNZ is having a go at the government about the difficulties with border testing.
The last few days we've all been very lucky.
I can't remember the last time I saw or heard from Judith Collins and her cohort Brownlee, are they deliberately lying low as to avoid any criticism with the hope the Govt screws up somehow and is hammered by the media, good luck with that strategy.
National using corporate identities to spread their message seems be the way to go, as we've seen recently, avoid any scrutiny of the party, the Key method, if you don't do anything, nobody's got anything to complain about.
Funny how these people are angry, maskless spectators who somehow manage to avoid being battoned and gassed by riot police.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Angry, maskless spectators forced themselves into the Idaho House special session on the coronavirus pandemic Monday, shattering a glass door, rushing into the gallery that had limited seating because of the virus and forcing lawmakers to ask for calm in a crowd that included a man carrying an assault-style weapon.
After some people shoved their way past Idaho State Police, Republican House Speaker Scott Bedke allowed the gallery to fully open as long as the crowd stopped chanting and was respectful.

Did you miss the bit today where Judith called Hipkins a part time minister? Or the bit where she demanded the recall of the Health Select Committee (and got it)? Or where she called for the extension to the wage subsidy (we have a National leader calling for the government to keep splashing the cash and a Labour PM trying to remind everyone it’s borrowed money – go figure!). Maybe you missed the moment in QT where she asked the PM how it was that a crew member from a ship berthed in Tauranga was able to leave managed isolation in Auckland without being tested to join his ship in Tauranga?
Pretending shit isn’t happening doesn’t mean it isn’t. Only a fool would think that the electoral landscape is the same now as it was two weeks ago. That doesn’t mean that Ardern isn’t going to win in October, I think she probably will, but as things stand Labour can give up any daft ideas about winning a majority. They better hope the Greens get their shit together.
heh

Despite all the dramas of the last 3 years, the Housing Crisis is still our national shame and an utter failure of this Government.

yep, posted the articler earlier on today. Shameful does not even cut it, its downright criminal.
Scott from above.
Have you completely forgotten why Collins is now the leader of the Nat party.
The news on mainstream media has not reported the events that you watched in parliament, they haven't even mentioned the Nat party at all with no interviews
I didn't watch the Parliament TV, and niether did the majority of the country, so your asumption Labour has lost the election already only suggest you've gone into oanic mode
Anyone who believes National could do a better job should have their head examined for a memory deficit.
