The comment about the day I would like to make is about the spokeswoman from E Tu union on RNZ morning report calling the strikebreakers being flown in from NZ to OZ to work at McCains “scabs”.
To me, it just sounded nasty and I don’t think any non union person who heard it would be sympathetic. Much better would be to explain nicely and politely what the strikers are trying to do and why having non union workers flown in to break the strike is is not good. Calling people mean names just seems decisive and non-thinking.
