A plaster is better than a cure?
Injury prevention should always be the preferred option.
The sort of thing they're talking about looks like some pretty intensive 1:1 work over the long term: to continue the plaster analogy, that's rehabilitative physio. It might work for some individuals, but with thousands if not tens of thousands of cases made every year, the only real way to address the problem is to view it as a public safety issue and isolate, minimise, or eliminate the proximate causes of injury.
