I am applying for a political parliamentary job.

    Does anybody have advice?

As jimmy kimmel said to anyone trump asks to be his vice- presidential candidate:

      'run..!…just run..!'

Are you sure that the 'political' is the most important part. Often jobs that are in Parliament are more concerned with the skills you bring. I worked there for 4 years and for both parties as they were then, in Ministers offices. The Ministers concerned were more concerned that I was good at the job rather than having a political flavour. One even told me 'leave the political stuff to me, that is my job'.

Jobs in Parliament require a high degree of discretion and so you should mention previous jobs that involve this say in the admin sphere working at board level where you may know of actions before the rest of staff do etc.

If you are say looking for a job at one of the research units, again they will probably look at the content of the job first, ie can you research esp in the social sphere or over techncial scientific stuff but if you do say have a background using this in a political sphere, say working for a student newspaper then mention it.

Obv if you are applying for a lefty type job then mention if you have roles in these areas …..

Ask yourself how confident you are that you will have delivered something of lasting value.

Then find the MP you can help to do that.

Check who your boss will be. Some are great, others not so much.

This sort of reporting became impossible after 2022.

The notion of ISIS in Ukraine is not as outlandish as it's been made out, after the Crocus massacre

Because it couldn't possibly be home-grown terror, eh.

As ISIL is nearing collapse, the think-tank warned that the fighters’ homelands face a “huge challenge” of returnees who are battle-hardened, indoctrinated and angry.

The Soufan Center said some 400 fighters have so far returned to Russia.

In 2015, Tunisia was the number one source of ISIL recruits (6,000) with Saudi Arabia (2,500) and Russia (2,400) trailing behind, the group said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on October 25 that he “doubts the figures” from groups, but did not specify whether the official figure was lower or higher. He added that monitoring the returnees is “one of the priorities” of Russia’s security agencies.

But Russian President Vladimir Putin said in February that “up to 4,000” Russian nationals fight for ISIL. In June, he said that ISIL is “preparing plans to destabilise” ex-Soviet Central Asia and Russia’s southern regions.

Still think my link is more to the point

    Since when were Tajiks Russian?

And they weren't Russian citizens ….put another way , not Russian nationals…which your link is on about

    Nice try though

Well Joe , you're halfway there, in that Russia is multi ethnic and that Russia has the largest Muslim population in the landmass of Europe

Some of those Muslims have become. radicalised .Just as they have in Uzbekistan and the other stans and throughout Europe generally

But in this instance the 4 gunmen were not Russian citizens

Who knows who hired them but it wouldn't be the first instance of my enemy's enemy is my friend

A suspect will admit to the darnest things when you hack their ear off and make them eat it.

        OK Joe

These terrorists survived .Anywhere else they die .Saves on trials .

But the fact they weren't Russian citizens is not reliant on their testimony. These things are easily checked.

Im betting they wish they were dead. No doubt a slow painful death at Solovetsky Island or some similar hell hole awaits.

A suspect will admit to the darnest things when they're unconscious.

(tbf, it looks like he's dead)

        @wartranslated

One of the perpetrators of the Crocus massacre, 19-year-old Muhammadsobir Fayzov was brought into the court unconscious. He admitted to all charges brought against him. All four terrorists have been arrested until 22 May.

    Trolley problem:

    5 dolphins or Russell Coutts?

"I find it astonishing the amount of influence iwi have over the authorities here in New Zealand," he wrote, saying that DoC would not allow SailGP racing in Lyttelton without approval from the iwi.

[Coutts said he found the USA and Saudi Arabia much more enlightened and found the the way the lesser races were dealt with in Hawaii to be preferred. He proposed more gunboat diplomacy from the crown who should only represent the white race. If you’re prepared to kill people for the tobacco lobby, why can’t we kill dolphins for my yachting he demanded? /sarc #satire]

"The involvement of Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke was to review and provide input into the Marine Mammal Management Plan (MMMP). We do not have a role in implementing the MMMP," Mishele Radford, Chair of Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke said.

"SailGP knew what they signed up for when they decided to hold the event within a marine mammal sanctuary.

PM Loser ‘Lizzy’ Luxon comes out for killing dolphins, a few more smokers and public housing tenants, and getting paid per cliche, as red tape was preventing him enjoying his morning masturbation while looking at himself in the mirror. It gets stuck everywhere he said. I really don’t know why we have it in our bathroom the Egghead said.
