Wow!
Pretty stupid and meaningless!
If it is to be believed, our noble whale friends have reportedly taken to committing cetacean seppuku to fend off the deadly explorer and his seismic.
Get real guys! There have been hundreds of thousands of km of seismic acquired around NZ over the last 50 years. And never a reported firm incident harming whales or dolphins. No surprise there, they can swim at several times the speed of a seismic vessel. And with the ‘soft start’ approach to seismic, they have plenty of time to decide what to do, whether it is to go over and have a look or to swim away
You don’t seem to know much about underwater acoustics. The speed of the vessel is irrelevant. Now clean the oil off your keyboard.
