    "Labour’s policy platform is sensible and mainstream. And as I found from speaking to thousands of people across the country during my Net Zero review, it is what the public wants and what business needs. It is potentially the greatest economic opportunity of our lifetimes – and the UK can’t afford to miss out."

    Ex Tory minister making UK Labour sound exciting & future looking & heaving with vision (in regards to energy anyway).

    Reckon it's worth the couple of minutes.

    @GaryParrishCBS

    Alex Rodriguez asked a question. Reggie Jackson answered it. (Shouts to the producer and rest of the desk for staying out of Reggie’s way and just letting him talk. I doubt they expected this answer. But it’s a great few minutes of television.)

    The second story shows how the CofC is making things worse.

    When these sectors have rising numbers of workers looking for available work

    That was particularly true for roles in manufacturing, transport and logistics, construction, and trades and services.

    the economy is in decline.

      NActFirst are making a horror film in NZ. Slash and burn....Everything.

      The flow-on effects of cuts and downsizing an economy are well known. They know..but literally dont care.

      It's a blow for the construction industry when residential building consents in April were down by 24 percent for the year.

      Honey told Newshub: "In some ways the indecision or the pause, that Kāinga Ora is actually contributing to the recessionary effect on the construction sector."

      Re your links, what do you think of Community Housing Aotearoa ?

      What is their situation with regards building and capability of same?

      I ask as you do seem to have a perceptive take on such things.

    The CofC is also presiding over something else getting worse.

    It cancelled a planned renewal of KiwiRails Cook Strait operations without an alternative, or making any moves to do so.

    That it seemed happy with a rundown of the service and facilitating a takeover of it by the private sector is suspected.

    Thus no concern about funding for the maintenance of the ships, given replacement is distant …
