Very good article by Shane Te Pou of Ngāi Tūhoe on the importance of understanding why Chris Luxon would make a poor PM based on his understanding of Te Tiriti, seemingly not aware of the difference in meaning of the Reo Rangatira and English versions.

There is also a further link to the Māori TV interview with Moana Maniapoto that sparked Te Pou's response in the link above.

Starvation diets, and let them eat carbon credits.( a play in 2 parts)

    Oct 11, 2021 Act 1

We are on the cusp of a significant mass starvation event of our own making. Soon, tens of millions of the world’s most impoverished people will die from an inability to feed themselves, while many of those comfortably getting by now – especially in the Western World – are in for a shock.

The leaders who put us in this position are doubling down on their misguided energy policies and will continue to do so until they are overthrown. I doubt they will go peacefully. Between now and then, they will use all manner of surveillance tools to spread Orwellian propaganda, misdirect blame, and crush dissent. Leading technology companies will greedily facilitate this modern incarnation of the Great Leap Forward, imaginary utopian ends justifying all manner of grotesque means.

Other than that, things are great.

    Act 2

“The dramatic development of the U.S. renewable diesel industry is similar to how ethanol changed the U.S. corn industry from 2007 to 2010, says Dan Basse, president of AgResource Company. But he believes renewable diesel could be more disruptive.

‘We are calling for 90.5 million soybean acres in 2022 versus this year’s 87 million, and that just gets us started in meeting renewable diesel demand,” he says. “Then we’d need to increase soybean acres by 5 million to 7 million each year. We have to top 120 million acres of soybeans to meet the growing demand for renewable diesel.’”

A relief to see Mayor Chadwick write to the AG and kill off that idiotic representation bill.
