   Leader or Office, many voters won’t know the difference. It’s under Key’s watch, either way. Weirdly, when asked if Ede had ever been on the taxpayer payroll, Key couldn’t even give a straight answer, saying ‘maybe, maybe’.

       Probably coincides with when Slater began trying to tidy his blog up. They knew something was up when their emails went missing.

   Lets hope the employment status of Mr Ede is revealed to add to the evidence stacking up.

   Key is attempting the Banksie method of not reading something (“Dirty Politics”) so technically not to be able to comment or be questioned on it–a bizarre self imposed Catch 22 false logic exercise that fools few.

   If Nats were to win the election Key will be unlikely to be PM this time next year. I agree with another poster that he is at best a manager not a leader of the country. He has no concept of honour or respect for his office so instead of offering his resignation he will proceed to lie, bully, deceive and call in every corporate and media favour he can.

   Post election OIA after OIA, enquiry after enquiry, legal action upon legal action will mount to effectively paralyse an attempt at getting a narrow majority National led government operating properly and he will slide off to Hawaii.

   The ‘change the government’ group of parties each needs to add “Vote x to cleanout dirty politics” as a main slogan. There will indeed be some National voters not happy with the GodKey acting so like Nixon.

     Accusations of high crimes and misdemeanors are published by a well respected investigator and neither the PM nor the Minister of Justice intend to read the 138 page indictment.

     I call that dereliction of duty.

     Add that to the list of crimes.

   If you’re desperate to read it, Amazon does have a Kindle edition available. Unfortunately, my e-reader is a Kobo, but I am toying with downloading the Kindle app for my tablet in order to read it.

   I’ve heard it variously as 2011 and early this year. Sorry can’t remember who was saying that, read too many things in the past two days.

   The book is on amazon now for kindle download.

   Ah thank you for that Weka… sixteen euros eh. That’s a lot for an e-book. Oh I forgot, books are expensive in small countries.

       I’ll wait til next week. They were sold out by about 10am yesterday in New Lynn. I had an early appointment and couldn’t get one.

       I’m told they will be getting more next week. I have plenty of other things to do before then.

   John Key and his ministers have slurred the good names of so many New Zealander in public office and other positions that there must be an awful lot of personal animosity towards them from innocent people who have been tarred, their families and friends. Sounds like Key is even spreading the blame around National Party members.

   Key must have read the book or the main points anyway. I watched the 20 minute interview with him and towards the end the interviewers asked him about the comments attributed to him over Pike River meetings (at end of book) and he denied it as fast as he could so how did he know to do that.

   The words may not be ones he would use but what about the sentiments? If I were Nact I wouldn’t bothher going over to the Coast in the near future.

     I watched the interview too and, IIRC, he pretty much quoted something directly from the book to answer a question. Even if he hasn’t read it, he must have been very well appraised of it, well enough to pull something out of his memory on the spur of the moment.

   Completely agree with you RedBaronCV about Tories showing their faces here – especially if they had read the front-page main headlined story in last night’s Grey Evening Star ” Coast Link in Hagar Book – Blogger’s “feral” jibe led to mass e-mail hacking” followed by direct quotes from emails between Slater and a friend referring to Judd Hall’s mother in appalling language which I imagine is what the reporter reading excerpts from the book on Seven Sharp was talking about when she said she couldn’t read it because it was just too cruel.

   With regards to what Key is alleged to have said to Slater in a phone call, this is Slater’s interpretation but rings very true when he speaks of the Pike River disaster and Key’s reactions to the visits he made down here. What doesn’t ring true is the language Slater claims Key used in that phone call, but we know he likes his poetic licence and is more than capable of embellishing what Key said, but he wouldn’t have the guts to claim he had been called by Key if untrue – he wasn’t counting on being thrown under the bus by his mates.

   My guess is that Ede’s employment status was changed once his links to Slater were revealed via him being caught photoing the rubbish. Around February of this year.
