When I heard that Nato would assist Ukraine with military hard ware I thought that in the hands of the Russian army that this would be the spoils of war.
Any alternative view or not towing the state line your life is put in danger.
Reply to Ad @ 10.3.1 Omicron does not give a rats arse about mandates. Mandates have reached their full potential as far as preventing hospital admissions. Due to high infection rates no mandate is able to stop infections.
The mandates are only as good as those who comply with them. I expect scanning is down. Probably getting a booster as well. I got boosted late last week and when I left I thought, that better be the last one. A lot of people would know family who are ...
Every faction/side in Ukrania needs to take responsibility to ensure a nuclear power plant is not hit or damaged due to the conflict.
A declaration of war against Europe was narrowly missed yesterday when bombs hit the training centre at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. A strike at a Ukrainian nuclear power plant was my worst fear at the start of the invasion. I have been listening to ...
What do you mean by bogged down like Afganistan? I need to look up the history of the Russian Afganistan war 1979 - 1989 to see how it played out.
How I see the invasion of Ukraine ending. Putin will take Kyiv due to Russia having 100 million more population, so a superior army. Other countries are reluctant to send troops as this just prolongs a war so Zelensky will be forced out. Once Putin has ...
Possibly the Russian convoy is a decoy. Putin has enough rockets that he can fire them into Kyiv without entering Kyiv. As well the convoy can send missiles from the trucks. Putin will probably only send in ground troops when Kyiv is bombed heavily.
What is the chance of an unintended missle hitting a nuclear plant in Ukrainia? Do reactors get shut down as a precaution and still release radiation if hit?
Knowing when to seek medical help is important.
I admired her for her bravery and my uncle as well.
Do you think that Putin may have been hoping that Russians will not fight Russians? 30 years is not a long time, the old way of thinking and the new way of thinking can be divisive.
I reckon Boris Johnson is stoked that he is no longer a member of the EU.
Every country needs to care about the use of uranium.
Worlds gone mad. Corruption and distrust, add guns/weapons to the mix and it becomes bloody.
What to do with Donbas, Donetsk and Luhansk has been going on since 2014. 14,000 lost lives, it is apparent that a peaceful solution is required and not a civil type war.
Good comment ghost. Do you see a redrawing of the border in Donbas, Luhansk and Donetsk occurring within days?
The 25 million Russian ethnic citizens choose to live in Ukrainia and not in the Russian Federation.
I know we are in phase 3. I think under the red traffic light. How many people actually know what the conditions of phase 3 are without looking them up? 1 March tomorrow and it will be a big month for people dealing with and managing Covid.
India has uranium and see how they seem to be more aligned with the Russian Federation than with the US when it comes to who they purchase the big weapons from. There is little trust in the world. So UAE, India and China abstained in the UN Security ...
The lesson needs to be learned not to use nuclear weapons. The rockets with nuclear capability, could one be accidently mixed up? The weapons now used in war are so lethal. I heard some trucks can carry 16 missiles and be fired off in 20 seconds.
Many. She was age 11 when deported in 1940 travelling 6 weeks in a railway wagon to Dubranski in Ural. Twice a day bread and water was all she had to eat. There was a hole in the centre of the wagon for human waste. Her only surviving family member was her...
An increase in homelessness was my contribution for the New Year prediction. Not outlandish but a serious matter.
Lviv has a long troubled past, especially on the border with Poland. Wars seem to start where there is a region with two ethnicities on the border of a country who wants to dominant the region. An example is the Russians in Donbas, which Putin claims he is...
A 600 billion monetary reserve, vast land with minerals and agriculture, second largest exporter of gas, independent sovereignty, this is not enough for Putin. He wants European dominance and he will spill the blood of the innocent to attain it.
Putin going into Ukrainia is personal for me. Up until 1945 my mother's place of birth near Husakow in the region of Lwow was on Polish soil and in 1945 her place of birth was 14 miles inside which is now known as Lviv region in Ukrainia. Every February 10...
Even people with risk factors can escape severe illness and those with no risk factors can have a severe bout. Covid is such a bastard to predict and avoiding it is unobtainable.
Thank you for this. Some colleges have 1500 or more students and some primary schools have 750 or more students. I do the school pick up 1 - 2 days a week. I do think that under the health Act a school should say if they have cases, but not to name the ...
What measures a country took during a wave of Covid will be analysed in the future. Something which does not make sense in NZ is that children under 5 are not eligible to be vaccinated and that ECE staff were not able to access RATs but rest home workers ...
It is any day for me to get Covid as it will probably come via the grand children from two schools. One of the schools will not state if they have students with Covid. I am assuming every single school will have cases.
