   And the same argument applies to the muppets on q+a. Paul Holmes leads the panel discussion with the “print money” sound bite as a dismissal of the detailed discussion point and it’s all down hill from there. When are we going to leave these dinosaurs behind ? Their time has come and gone.

   Fran is a public lobbyist for the CLUB, this club pays her very well. They pay her to distract and confuse the masses while they continue to use the advantage they have worked for years to create. A Planet like Planet Key that is full of privilege and lovely things for themselves and some select mates, the deserved ,the success makers, the job creators! AKA the 1%.

   Great article Fran will hate it.

     Nice take there CGE. Actually, the fatuous, glibly arrogant old chook should be ashamed of herself. That very condition would preclude any prospect of that I guess. And now that he’s better it’s not churlish to say that “bloody bloody bloody” Holmes is no better.

   yes the whole purpose of tired flabby old hacks like sullivan is to keep anything new and revitalising out of the picture.
   every conservative knows that change means that the old guard has to go and the old guard here are like limpets that just wont let go.
   crusty and impotent with pseud’s like kweewee dragged in to give the appearance of change but nothing ever does.

   Readers need to write to the NZ Herald’s major advertisers and say they are considering not buying that rag or suspending their subscription when it has commentators like Fran who provide “very thin analysis”, and also cc that to NZH.

   As well, readers might like to convey that directly to NZH’s “letter to the editor” section, and where appropriate, NZH online. (And perhaps – depending on the extent to which anonymity is desired – also post a copy on The Standard’s Open Mike.)

   Jeez. It’s like watching Einstein explain sums to an excrement-pitching child emperor. Don’t know whether to celebrate yet another exposure of the entire NZ media’s new clothes or lament the national ignomony that Andrew had to do it. Garden for me too.

   A very informative piece by Mr Geddis. Learned heaps.
   I do sometimes read Fran’s columns but she always comes across as mean-spirited. As for Andrew’s brilliant column, Fran would not dare read it. Like the PM she would prefer to claim ignorance.

      Tried the link – told me that her Twitters were protected and only available to dedicated followers.

      A song comes to mind – but have no intentions of becoming a ‘follower’ of that person, so I am now no the wiser as to her reaction.

    Isn’t Fran a columnist for that nasty little tabloid thingy that has replaced Te Herald. Surely writing for a tabloid doesn’t count as serious journalism.
