   Surely her press secretary would not ‘release’ such information without the approval of the minister? Who is her press secretary? Why would Bennett choose to discredit Mr Dennis? He has done nothing to her. If this is true, I hope it’s the beginning of the end for the bitch – and I won’t renege on calling her such, as that is exactly what she is.

       Admittedly it adds little to the discussion; it’s not intended to. It is simply declaring contempt.

   Such a dumb thing to do, either her staff hate her guts, it’s a setup to get her out by her own party members as she is completely incompetent and they realize it.

     How? John Campbell has just interviewed a marae staffer.

     Mr Dennis was upfront with the minister when she met him at a café last Friday. He is a former senior police officer and is under investigation for something. The investigation has been going on for a year now. I’m only speculating of course, but it sounds like somebody has laid a complaint against him. According to the staffer he is a very straight person and he wanted her to know where things were at. Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with the marae or anyone in it. He was stood down from the Police on full pay during the course of the investigation.

     Madam is now blaming her staffer who – she is saying – assumed the information was already in the public domain. What BS! If it was in the public domain we would have heard about it.

       Mr. Dennis told the Minister in confidence. She went and blabbed it to her staff who subsequently thought or was told it was appropriate to blab about it to the media for some reason. Basically, she’s a big mouth who enjoys putting people’s private lives into the public domain. Which yeah, we kinda already knew…

      just my thoughts. these people show leadership, hospitality and humanity to the homeless, in the face of shameful government inactivity. How do they get rewarded? A pretty disgusting leak about information that is in no way related to the matter of homelessness. I don’t need to know nor want to know what the chap is or isn’t facing in terms of police action. If I need to know it will come out in the courts. What I do want to know is this Governments solution to the homeless crisis. To date I have seen precious little.

    What’s this expectation about Ministers having ethics and morals?

    This is New Zealand, where a person who has been the Minister of Justice and who is now the Minister of Police and Minister of Corrections, is Judith Collins.

    Say all that slowly and consider that should a Minister of Honesty be appointed it would likely be her. (Only because her leader would be too busy to take the role.)

      I read somewhere that the real estate agents were doing the testing themselves. I am hoping some investigative journalist has been slowly working on this story, there is a lot of information out there & won;t take too much digging to get to the bottom of it. Even state houses in Mosgiel remain empty because of ‘P contamination’.

      Incidentally the large quantity of P on the Northland beach suggests most actually is imported not manufactored in state houses. In my opinion.

    Boy has this MP got form – what a vindictive person she is. It has to be her, no staffer is going to risk their job and disclose that sort of information to the press unless it is under direct orders from the boss. And what has happened to her lately, she looks like she has been pumped up with a bike pump. How can anybody get that huge, I just do not understand how that occurs. I think she is a very unhappy stressed woman, out of her league in the bear pit and is eating for Africa so to speak to make herself feel okay about herself – it is an illness and I think she is suffering from it. I realise this is a personal comment about her and apologise in advance of comments, but she needs medical help as she is on a collision course for either diabetes or a heart attack.
