Looking forward to seeing the special votes. Non-scientific but myself and everyone else I know in the Tokyo expat community were backing Labour.
Does Rodney have some perverse kind sexual infatuation with the Labour Party? I cannot recall him writing anything on a different subject.
Preventing rent increases more often than once every 12 months for periodic and fixed-term tenancies. Perhaps NZ should be emulating the Japanese model, the rent cannot change for the duration of the tenancy which is typically 24 months (and at the same ...
Right on cue *yawn*
Great article Helen - many thanks. Where do you think the VES fits into this?
Speak for yourself.
Let him go. He's a prick.
Is it too early yet to say he should probably resign?
I would be interested in hearing some statistics on what percentage of time he has spent on holiday along with previous Prime Ministers for comparison.
It took 59k to develop a smart phone app? We all got fleeced.
Of course it is. And lying is this governments modus operandi too.

Bring on Prime Minister Shearer!
Look what the tories have been up to in Canada http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/02/22/racknine-inc-fraudulent-election-calls-traced/
Many people who deal with government departments regularly won't have access to a smartphone, let alone an internet connected computer. Although it must be said that if the Nats can put these services out of reach of the poor they'll still be achieving ...
That's true but in so far as actually protecting the interests of the many versus the few (something I think is at least implicitly implied in the Prime Minister's role) he has failed. But then there are so many other things he's pledged to do that have ...
That of a miserable failure perhaps?
Weren't you warned against trolling?
I had no idea who she was until I read this post. Why are you giving her the extra publicity?
May I just say that I'm *disgusted* that the Prime Minister would play politics over such a serious issue. Disgraceful.
What does everyone think will happen in Christchurch Central? I've heard that special votes always favour the incumbent but it's still a cliff hanger.
He lies and he lies and he only backtracks when he's been caught in a lie. We deserve so much better New Zealand.
You would never vote Labour in the first place burt.
National's (mis)management of the economy has been a trainwreck but since the media aren't doing their jobs the Nats will continue to take the piss and lie to the New Zealand public.
National Party Economic Policy fails to take off.
He's replaced it with this question: Do you support Govt steps to improve NZ's infrastructure? An excellent example of how the right like to frame their questions to evoke a response.

Anyone watching Back Benchers? Simon Bridges seems to be having a hard time tonight, he looks tired and all of his yelling and talking over of others is quite telling. Big ups to Wallace Chapman who's done an excellent job in tolerating his behaviour all ...
Any news reports on this? Anyone find it interesting how the media only report the polls if they're favorable to National?
And yet many NZ voters are still taking it, "Please Sir, may I have another?". About time they woke up.
That sort of loutish behaviour would warrant a ban. All I did was tell them that if they didn't make repealing the changes made to the Copyright Amendment Act an election issue I would be voting for someone who would.
