And right on cue, we've just had TVNZ's Colmar-Brunton poll which puts Labour/Green level with National.
Isn't the coalition deal with the government Pita Sharples' thing and a result of Tariana Turia's resentment towards Labour more than anything else?
Hahaha, so it's gotten to the point where Key has just claimed he has no ministerial responsibility over his own statements.
Where's the 3% for the Conservatives coming from? I just checked the most recent Herald, CB and RM polls, and all three of them have the Conservatives at around 1%. Specifically, the Herald poll had them at exactly 1%, CB had them at 0.8% and RM had them ...
Garner didn't mention ACT, Maori, UF, Mana and the undecideds + parties out of parliament. I'd imagine the coalition partners probably got about 4% combined, and probably 1% each to Mana and the Conservatives.
I'm assuming a bunch of you have seen this, but Garner tweeted that a UMR poll has put Labour and National virtually neck-and-neck. According to him, the poll said: National - 39% Labour - 36% Green - 14% NZF - 5.1% https://twitter.com/Garner_Live/status/...
Here it is, if anyone wants to give it a listen. http://www.radionz.co.nz/national/programmes/ninetonoon/audio/2570658/statement-regarding-politics-segment
I love how the list just goes on... and on... and on. Well, not love per se, but you know what I mean.
Cheers, came here to ask that very question.
It's not just you. Dunc and Paddy are particularly egregious in that aspect.
Speaking of money spent by the government, how much did Warner Brothers leave our shores with? I remember it was somewhere around $120 million, but I can't remember exactly how much it was. Or, hey, propping up the Americas Cup challenge with an extra $...
My first thought was "Wasn't he that ACT guy who stole that dead baby's identity? Successor? Huh?"
Let's say hypothetically that Key publicly sends out feelers to Peters to try to get him onside as a coalition partner. There's no guarantee that the Conservatives, or any of the thinly-veiled Bigot Brigade parties of that ilk, will get into Parliament ...
Caveat emptor. He never said who the bright future was for.
That implies there was a Plan A to begin with.
Unfortunately, all they have is the Nats.
The attempt at manufacturing a coup by Duncan Garner, as well as the "man ban" debacle comes to mind. There might be something else, but that's really all that I can recall at the moment. Nevertheless, it was a pretty rancid two weeks for the opposition. ...
Looking at the polling period, it's likely the man ban debacle plus the shit stirred by Garner's attempt at manufacturing a coup. The polling period ended this past Sunday, so anything since (i.e. the latest GCSB-related blow up) would have had little ...
I've noticed a slight shift in tone after Duncan Garner's self-uppercut the other week, actually. There've been a couple of articles portraying Shearer in a far more sympathetic light (I think the coup that never was has led a few to take a step back and ...
"so lest say labour gets in and vetos the national party conference? you happy with that?" I know I would be because that shit would be too funny.
I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of the 80-odd (that we know of) that were spied on illegally by the GCSB had "nothing to hide" too.
And today's political cartoon in the Herald. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/politics/news/article.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=10888178
So who do you reckon the source of the leaks is? I'm thinking either Joyce or someone reasonably close to him.
Oh wait, now it's working. Weird.
Clicking on the link at the top of the story now just redirects me to http://thestandard.org.nz/.
Jesus, did the person writing that have a stroke?
So what, does that mean Dunne is now an independent?
Not as much as repeatedly lying about the circumstances in which an old school chum is appointed the most senior position in a spying agency that has systematically flouted the law.
"At least Shearer came clean about the mistake as soon as he discovered it." Truth. The other thing to note is that it didn't affect his numbers at all, whereas National's numbers have steadily declined during Key's repeated brainfades. That he forgot to ...
I wonder what Peters will be asking for in return for supporting this disgusting bill.
And it looks like ACT could be gone before the 2014 election. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/politics/news/article.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=10881226
